For three long days the soviet authorities kept us in the dark and did not reveal the facts about the nuclear power explosion. We learned about the disaster only when the Scandinavian countries registered some radioactive clouds coming their way and raised some questions. Yet, many of us to this day remember where we were and what we were doing on that fatal day, April 26, 1986.
